Finca Oropendula has belonged to the Chazez family since 1957, when they planted the first coffee tree on this farm. The farm is set in the mountains of Montecillos, about an hour's drive from Marcala, La Paz. This lot was first fermented for 36 hours in an anaerobic environment, then the top skin of the cherries was removed and then the coffee was dried in the pulp as in conventional honey processing.
